Measles, Mumps, and Scarlet Fever
Measles
Caused by a virus, measles is an infectious disease. Symptoms include a high fever, a dry cough, sore eyes, and a pink rash over the entire body. White spots known as Koplik’s spots may be visible on the inside of the cheeks a few days before the rash appears.
Treatment
Ensure the child rests, and give additional fluids.
Homeopathy Apis, Euphrasia, Sulfur, and Gelsemium should help relieve symptoms.
Herbal Medicine Give an infusion of yarrow or elderflower with camomile added, every four hours. A cool infusion of lavender, sponged onto the skin, helps to relieve itching.
Mumps
Caused by a virus, mumps is an infectious disease that mainly affects children over two years. Symptoms of mumps are swelling of the glands in front of the ear, and earache.

Scarlet Fever
